With a history stretching back more than 100 years, this railway linked the Asland cement factory in Castellar de n’Hug to Guardiola de Berguedà. Today, the Tren del Ciment is one of the gems in Catalonia’s collection of historic railways.

History of the Tren del Ciment

With a history stretching back more than 100 years, this railway linked the Asland cement factory in Castellar de n’Hug to Guardiola de Berguedà. Today, the Tren del Ciment is one of the gems in Catalonia’s collection of historic railways.

The Tren del Ciment is located in the county of Berguedà. It takes visitors on a 3.5-kilometre, 20-minute journey through forests and stunning landscapes. Throughout the length of the route, visitors can admire the majesty of this natural environment located on the doorstep of Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park.

High Season (from 10.30 a.m. to 6.45 p.m): every Saturday from April 1 to October 28, the whole month of August, and on April 6, 7, 9, 30, June 4, 30 and 31 July, September 1 and 10, October 12 and 13.
